Pomar na Praia by Pomar Coliving

Fuzeta, Eastern Algarve, Portugal

Family-style coliving on the lagoon side of the Algarve. Long stays, group workouts, fibre internet, food that goes long because nobody has anywhere better to be.

Whitewashed Algarvean village with cobbled lanes leading to the lagoon

About the space

Pomar na Praia is a converted set of village houses on the lagoon side of Fuzeta, fifteen minutes inland from Faro by car. The footprint is two main buildings plus a workshop annex — twenty-two rooms in total, mostly twin and double with private bath. The kitchen is the gravitational centre; the desks are arranged so each one looks at a window.

The setup, in principle

Two coworking rooms separate quiet from collaborative work; calls happen in dedicated booths, never in the open room. The community runs a programme of group workouts five mornings a week plus communal dinners twice a week, none of which are mandatory but most of which most people show up to.

Neighbourhood

Fuzeta itself is a small Algarvean fishing village on the Ria Formosa lagoon. Twelve minutes on foot to the harbour; tide tables become a thing you actually consult. Twenty-five minutes by car to Tavira (food + history), forty-five to Faro (international flights).

Best for

Long focused stretches, group-workout culture, low-key social rhythm

Less good for

Buzzing nomad scene seekers, week-long stays
